On November 15th 2008 we will be having the 2nd annual Guys, Flies & Pies fly tying event and this year it will be open to the public. Come join us for a night of fly tying, pizza (the "Pies" part), raffles, door prizes, and more!
This year we have reserved a place to meet that can hold a large number of people and everyone is welcome to join us. To help us get an idea of how many are coming, register now to reserve your seat, or join our mailing list to be reminded as the day gets closer.
We will meet from 3pm until midnight. Cost will be $10 if you register online, $12 the day of the event at the door. Pizza will be provided at 6pm and we'll hold the drawing for the door prizes and the raffles at 8pm. Update: Due to the large number of door prizes, those will be given out all throughout the event..
Raffle Update: 8 weight setup is complete!
Steve Clark at Midwest Custom Fly Rods is building 2 fly rods for our raffle. One will be a 9 foot, 8 weight, 2 piece (thanks to Robert Farrand for the parts) and the other will be a 6 foot, 2 weight Tiger Eye. I'm excited to announce that the 8 weight rod for the raffle will be a complete setup! The rod by Midwest Custom Fly Rods, line by Jim Teeny Inc, reel donated by Hook & Hackle and rod tube by Landmark Component Co.
