What To Expect:
We are meeting at 3pm, which some might think is late, but this time of year the sun sets about 6pm, so we don't want to cut into too much of the daylight fishing hours. So, come as early as 3pm, and stay as late as midnight. Either way, show up by 6pm so you don't miss out on the pizza. We'll have the raffle and door prize drawings at 8pm.
Ever since Guys, Flies & Pies was started, it's always been a tying party. Since it's a tying party, everyone should bring their vise and materials and tie flies. Pizza, expect pizza. What would Guys, Flies & Pies be without some pizza pies. Pizza will be provided around 6pm.
We will also be holding a raffle at 8pm for different items. We have 2 fly rods being custom built by Steve Clark at Midwest Custom Fly Rods for the raffle. One will be a 9 foot, 8 weight, 2 piece (thanks to Robert Farrand for the parts) and the other will be a 6 foot, 2 weight Tiger Eye. More details about the raffle will be made available soon.
We will be holding a drawing for some door prizes. Everyone who joins us for the event will have their name entered into the door prize drawings. The door prizes drawing will be held at 8pm when we announce the winners of the raffles.
Plans are being made to have a few vendors on hand. Even though we are renting a place to hold this years event, space is still limited to the size of the building, therefore we can only accomodate a few small vendors and still maintain the space for the tiers. Once plans with vendors have been finalized, more details will be posted.
